Does this open configuration require specific eye protection?
Yes. As an open Class 4 laser device emitting ultraviolet radiation at 355nm, operators must never stare directly at the beam or reflections. Anyone in the workspace during marking must wear certified OD6+ laser safety goggles specified for the 355nm wavelength, which are provided in the factory standard packing kit.
